1966 Falsehood: Mainstream Ohaneze Ndigbo should take up this fight or risk irrelevance
should define the timeline for the requested apology to Ndigbo from Nigeria and thereafter commence negotiations with President Bola Tinubu.
If the deadline expires without appropriate response then take legal action, on behalf of Ndigbo, within and outside Nigeria while concurrently boycotting all official FGN events to compel compliance, among others.
Ndigbo lost at least 3m innocent folks because of a LIE that was delibrateky sponsored by the nation state. There should be remedy to ensure that Nigeria moves forward.
IBB and Gowon are still alive to serve as witnesses at any local or international court. That window wont be there for long. Media noise will also not suffice.
I also hope President Tinubu and his handlers are seeing the window of opportunity that this saga presents for advancement of national cohesion, unity and progress through healing.
It is my belief that Almighty God deliberately timed this IBB revelation to happen when an activist is presiding over our country. President Tinubu is well equipped to lead lasting healing with political benefits waiting for him too.
Crucially, if mainstream Ohaneze cannot lead this process they will surely lose relevance to Ndigbo. There is no greater assignment for the group and Igbo political leaders of today.
